Ford India Private Limited, a subsidiary of the international auto giant the Ford Motors Limited, was initially known as Mahindra Ford India Limited. Later the Ford Motors increased their share and FIPL was formed in 1995. The first car from FIPL was the sedan Ford. Officially launched in 2010, Ford Figo received a significant facelift in 2012 and the next generation Figo is expected to hit the markets by the middle of this year.
